REVISED ADVERTISMENT FOR RECRUITMENT TO THE POST OF SENIOR RESIDENTS UNDER RESIDENCY SCHEME FOR THE TENURE OF THREE YEARS AT AIIMS PATNA
All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Patna has been established as an Autonomous Institution and Institute of National Importance through the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (Amendment) Act, 2012. By virtue of this Act, the Institute grants its own medical degrees and other academic distinctions. AIIMS, Patna invites on-line applications for the post of Senior Residents (Non - Academic) under Residency Scheme for the tenure of three years at AIIMS Patna.
The aspirant applications satisfying the eligibility criteria in all aspects can apply for the post of Senior Residents under Residency Scheme. The applicant needs to fill online form for appearing in written test {Please refer point no.
(UR-Unreserved, EWS-Economically Weaker Section, OBC-Other Backward Classes, SC-Scheduled Caste, ST-Scheduled Tribes) Note: Vacancies may increase or decrease at the time of selection. The number of vacancies indicated as above are provisional and subject to change without any prior notice. In case, no EWS candidate applying, the seat will be converted in UR category.
*A candidate can opt of General Medicine Including Super-Speciality or General Surgery Including Super-Speciality. Posting will be done on merit/choice and/or by rotation basis. Experience certificate will be issued in the name of General Medicine/General Surgery accordingly
1. QUALIFICATION: A Post Graduate Degree i.e. MD/MS/DNB/DM/M.Ch or equivalent in the above
Department recognized by Medical Council of India / NMC/ NBE.
GENERAL INFORMATION
2. AGE LIMIT (AS ON 01.08.2022):
For eligibility to apply for these posts, upper age limit will be 45 years. Age limit relaxation for SC/ST candidate up to a maximum period of 5 years and for OBC candidate up to a maximum period of 3 years. In case of PwBD candidates, age relaxation is up to maximum period of 5 years for General Category, 8 years for OBC category and
10 years for SC/ST category candidates.
3. APPLICATION FEES & MODE OF PAYMENT:
General/OBC Category : Rs 1500/- + transaction charges as applicable.
Women/SC/ST/EWS Category : Rs 1200/- + transaction charges as applicable.
PwBD candidate is exempted from any fee.
Application fee is required to be remitted online only. Any other instrument of payment is not acceptable. Also make sure to get the confirmation of the successful remittance by your bank and retain the proof of the same which may be required at the time of document verification. The application fee is non-refundable.
4. APPLICATION PROCESS:
Candidates, who are fulfilling the eligibility criteria may fill the application form which will be available at aiimspatna.edu.in. After final submission of form, candidates have to take a print of the same, which along with following documents (original and one set of self-attested copy) needs to be produced at the time of interview:-
Date of Birth/SSC/HSSC pass certificate (mentioning Date of Birth)
MBBS Degree Certificate
Internship Completion Certificate
MD/MS/DNB/DM/M.Ch Degree/Provisional Degree Certificate
UG/PG NMC/State Registration Certificate
Caste/PwBD Certificate (If seat is claimed in reserved category)
Any other relevant certificate of experience
5. RESERVATION:
The reservation for EWS/OBC-NCL/SC/ST candidates is as per Central Govt. rules and 5% for PwBD
candidates (on horizontal basis).
For OBC-NCL Candidates: Candidate(s) must attach certificate valid for the posts under the Central Government of India which mentions that the Candidates does not belong to Creamy Layer. Date of issue of Certificate should not be earlier than 1 year from the last date of application (15.08.2021 to 14.08.2022 (both dates inclusive).
For EWS Candidates: Candidate(s) must attach certificate valid for the posts under the Central
Government of India which mentions that the Candidates does belong to EWS category. Date of issue of
Certificate should be from 01.04.2022 to 14.08.2022 (both dates inclusive).
For EWS, OBC-NCL, SC and ST – Certificate should be issued by Tehsildar or above rank authorities prescribed by Govt. of India is format of State/Central Government.
6 PAY SCALE: Rs. 67,700/- as per 7th CPC, Level – 11 of the Matrix + NPA plus usual allowances as admissible.
7. ONLINE REGISTRATION OF APPLICATION & DATE OF EXAMINATION:
Scanned signature of the candidate (in JPG format).
Online payment detail of the required application fee.
Aadhar Card.
(b) Guidelines for scanning/uploading the Photograph, Signature, Date of Birth/SSC/HSSC Pass certificate (mentioning Date of Birth), PG Medical Council Registration, MD/MS/DNB/DM/M.Ch Degree Certificate, Category/OPH Certificate, where applicable & Experience Certificate (SR ship), if available: Before applying online application form a candidate will be required to have a scanned (digital) image of the above mentioned certificates/documents as per the specifications given below:
(i) Photograph (in JPG format):
Photograph must be a recent passport size colour picture.
The picture should be in colour, against a light-coloured, preferably white, background.
Caps, hats and dark glasses are not acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed but it must not cover your face.
Dimensions 200 x 230 pixels (preferred)
Size of file should be between 80 kb–100 kb
Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 100 KB.
(ii) Signature (in JPG format):
The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black ink pen.
The signature must be signed only by the applicant and not by any other person.
Dimensions 140 x 60 pixels (preferred)
Size of file should be between 50 kb – 80 kb
Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 80 KB.
(iii) Date of Birth/SSC/HSSC Pass certificate (mentioning Date of Birth) (in PDF format):
Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 1 MB.
(iv) UG & PG Medical Council Registration (NMC/State) (in PDF format):
Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 1 MB.
(v) MBBS Internship Completion Certificate (in PDF format):
Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 1 MB.
(vi) MD/MS/DNB/DM/MCh Degree/ Provisional Degree Certificate (in PDF format):
Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 1 MB. (vii) Category/OPH Certificate, where applicable (in PDF format):
Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 1 MB.
(viii) Experience Certificate, if any (SR-ship) (in PDF format):
Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 1 MB.
(c) While applying online, in the preview of the form, the candidate’s Photo and Signature must be clearly visible to candidate, if photo/signature image is small in size or not visible in preview on website, then it means that the photo/signature is not as per the prescribed format and your application will be rejected. So, be careful while uploading your photo and signature.
(d) Applicants must fill all the fields carefully since after submission of online application request for change in any information at any later stage will not be considered.
(e) Candidate may access the online application portal by clicking on the link mentioned in the
(f) After completing the registration part candidate will receive the user ID and password through E-mail on the registered email address. The same ID and Password shall be displayed on the logged screen. Candidates are requested to note down the User ID and password. Candidates are also advised to take a print of the Registered Application Form for their records and future reference.
(g) The candidates already registered shall click on existing user link and fill the correct user ID and Password for continuing the form filling process. In case of incorrect User ID/Password click on the ‘forgot password’ link.
(h) The candidates are requested to fill the correct details regarding name/age/sex/caste/address/educational
qualification and other relevant fields mentioned in the application portal. Candidates are advised to upload the relevant documents/photographs in the desired format only.
(i) Once the details are correctly filled the candidate may proceed for the fee payment.
(j) Once a candidate clicks on SUBMIT button, a page containing some important instructions for payment, a Payment Reference Number and a Link to make payment of Application Fee will open. Candidates may please note that unless they make the payment of Application Fee, their application will be treated as INCOMPLETE. Candidates who want to pay at later stage can use this Payment Reference Number for re-login and making the payment in order to complete his/her Registration.
(k) Online payment of fee: Once a candidate clicks on button for making the payment, they will be redirect to the Payment gateway site. There are various options available for payment viz. Internet Banking (major banks) & Debit/Credit Cards. Additional charges viz. bank charges, service tax etc. incurred while making online payment of application fees will be borne by the candidate. After making the successful Payment they will immediately be redirected to (www.aiimspatna.edu.in) for generation of Registered Application Form. Candidates are advised to take a print of the Registered Application Form for their records and future reference. Thus, the process for Registration of candidates who have to pay Application Fee gets completed. The Registration number along with Date of Birth can also be used for downloading the Admit Card prior to the date of examination which shall also be notified in the designated website i.e. www.aiimspatna.edu.in
(l) Once form is submitted, there shall be no provision for making changes in the application form.
(p) Payment of application fees by any other mode viz. Cash, Cheque, Money Orders, Postal Orders, Pay Orders, Banker’s Cheques, Postal Stamps, etc., will not be accepted. Such applications will be summarily rejected. The decision of Executive Director, AIIMS Patna in this regard shall be final and binding.
9. SELECTION PROCESS:
a) Written test (MCQ based) will be held for selection to the advertised posts of Senior Residents.
b) Total Number of questions will be 80, carrying one marks each. There will be no negative marking.
c) Written test will be held on 23.08.2022 at AIIMS PATNA only. Result of the written examination will be declared on same day on AIIMS, Patna website (www.aiimspatna.edu.in).
d) Qualifying marks for all category in written test will be as under: UR: 50 % OBC-NCL/EWS: 45 % SC/ST: 40 %
e) The successful candidates {maximum three (03) times of seats in each speciality} will be called for the
personal interview to be conducted from 24th August 2022 onwards. Total marks of interview will be of 20
Marks.
f) Final Selection list will be declared on the combined marks of written and Interview marks.
g) While every effort will be made to intimate the candidates regarding Exam/Interview schedule at the earliest, the responsibility lies with the candidate to check for the same on the institute website. All Candidates must
provide phone numbers and E-mail for faster communication.
h) Those who already completed 03 years of their Senior Residency are not eligible to apply. i) Qualification/Experience will be counted as on 31.08.2022.
j) The final result will be displayed on the website i.e. (www.aiimspatna.edu.in).
10. METHOD OF RESOLVING TIES:
All Tie cases (more than one candidate having same marks) have been resolved on date of birth. Older candidate
(earlier date of birth) is ranked above younger candidate.
11.REASONS FOR REJECTION/CANCELLATION OF APPLICATION:
APPLICATION/CANDIDATURE OF APPLICANTS IS LIABLE TO BE CANCELLED/ REJECTED SUMMARILY OR AT ANY STAGE OF THE ADMISSION PROCESS IN THE EVENT OF ALL OR ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
i. Applications being incomplete.
ii. Any variation in the Signatures.
All the SIGNATUREs in FULL (NOT IN SHORT) done on the Print out of the Application Form and also on other Documents must be the same.
iiiScanned copy of photograph and signature uploaded are not as per specification given and/or blur or distorted or not clear.
iv. Non-payment of Examination Fees or non-receipt of fee through online mode, if not otherwise
exempted.
v.Fee not paid as per instructions.
viUnder aged/over aged candidates.
vii Failure to bring (in original) all relevant Certificates/Documents issued by the competent authority,
along with self-attested legible copies in support of the information given in their Application Forms about their Educational Qualifications; Experiences; Percentage of Marks obtained; Proof of Age; Proof
of Category [SC/ST/OBC] and the print out of Application Form at the time of verification of document.
viii.Not having the requisite Educational Qualification/Experience/Category Status as on the closing date. ix. Incorrect information or misrepresentation or suppression of material facts.
x. For carrying mobile phones / accessories in the Examination premises/Hall.
xi Any other irregularity.
12. ACTION AGAINST CANDIDATES FOUND GUILTY OF MISCONDUCT:
(A) Candidates are warned that they should not furnish any particulars that are false or suppress any material information while filling in the application form. Candidates are also warned that they should in no case attempt to alter or otherwise tamper with any entry in a document or the attested certified copy submitted by them nor should they submit a tampered/fabricated document. If there is any inaccuracy or any discrepancy, an explanation regarding this discrepancy should be submitted.
(B) Without prejudice to criminal action/debarment up to 3 years from examinations conducted by AIIMS, Patna wherever necessary, candidature will be summarily cancelled at any stage of the admission in respect of candidates found to have indulged in any of the following activities:-
a) In possession of mobile phone and/or accessories and other electronic gadgets within the premises of the examination centers, whether in use or in switched off mode and on person or otherwise.
b) Involved in malpractices.
c) Using unfair means in the examination hall.
d) Obtaining support for his / her candidature by any means. e) Impersonate/ procuring impersonation by any person.
f) Submitting fabricated documents or documents which have been tampered with.
g) Making statements which are incorrect or false or suppressing material information.
h) Resorting to any other irregular or improper means in connection with his/her candidature for the examination.
i) Misbehaving in any other manner in the examination hall with the Supervisor, Invigilator or
representative of AIIMS, Patna.
j) Intimidating or causing bodily harm to the staff employed by AIIMS, Patna for the conduct of examination.
13. OTHER IMPORTANT POINTS:
i.Please fill the Online Application carefully. It may not be possible to make changes after payment of online fee. Applicants may note that further correspondence will NOT be entertained in this regard.
ii. Any Amendment/Rectification/Change/Editing is NOT allowed in Name, Category, Department and PWBD status after submitting the application fee through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking and images once uploaded cannot be changed later. Any change in address, mobile no. and email ID should be intimated to this office immediately.
iii. The Competent Authority reserves the right of any amendment, cancellation and changes to this advertisement as a whole or in part without assigning any reason or giving notice.
iv. In case, any information given or declaration by the candidate is found to be false or if the candidate has
willfully suppressed any material information relevant to his/her candidature & he/she will be liable to be removed from the institute and any action taken as deemed fit by the competent authority.
v.The decision of the competent authority regarding selection of candidates will be final and no representation will be entertained in this regard.
vi. Name of the selected candidates will be displayed in the institute website. No separate individual intimation will be sent. Beside, all information regarding examination will also be provided through the Institute website only. The Institute will not be responsible in any manner if a candidate fails to visit / access the website in time. Candidates are requested to regularly visit the Institute website i.e. www.aiimspatna.edu.in for updated information regarding the recruitment process.
vii. The applicant will be responsible for the authenticity of submitted information, their documents and photograph. Submission of any false, fake and/or suppression /concealment of facts shall lead to rejection/ cancellation of admission.
viii. There is no provision for re-checking/re-evaluation of the answer sheets and no query in this regard will been entertained.
ix. The decision of the Executive Director of the Institute shall be final in the matter of selection of candidates for applying for Senior Resident (Under Residency Scheme) and no appeal will be entertained in this regard.
x.Selected candidates must join the institute within the stipulated date as mentioned in the offer of appointment letter, failing which the selection shall stand cancelled/ withdrawn.
xi. The selection of candidates for the post of Senior Resident will be subject to medical fitness. No selected candidate will be permitted to join the institute unless declared medically fit by the Medical Board appointed by the Institute. The decision of the Medical Board shall be final.
xii Private practice in any form during the course is prohibited. The period of training is strictly full time and continuous.
xiii. The rules are subject to change in accordance with the decision of the Institute to be taken from time to time.
xiv. Candidates are not allowed to bring mobile phones, books, notes and loose sheets, any other electronic gadgets and any other communication devices inside the examination premises/hall and any infringement of these instructions will entail debarment from future examinations of AIIMS Patna without prejudice to initiation of criminal proceedings against the candidates.
